july 23rd

Hope you all like the new back ground. Its much more disney'ish. I did like the fireworks picture as the back ground, but I like this one better. now the question is can you find your favorite character?

im working on the font. its not very easy to see. atleast i think so. So ill continue to work on things to make it as easy to read and asenjoyable to read as possible. If you have suggestions please feel free to email me or leave a comment.I will try my best to answer any requests.

This day in disney history

1942:

A letter written on this day to Walt Disney from Chester Feitel indicates the level of security surrounding some of the military projects undertaken at the Studio. The letter references a training film on aerial gunnery tactics for the U.S. Navy. (The U.S. is in the midst of World War II.)

The letter includes these words: "Navy insists I re-emphasize the CONFIDENTIAL nature of this project. It should be discussed with only those whom you would be justified to entrust with work upon it. All correspondence should be destroyed or retained in safe, confidential files."

Fun fact of the day

Tarzan's Treehouse opened 23 June 1999 and is located on the former site of the Swiss Family Treehouse, an attraction that opened in November 18, 1962 and was based on the Disney film "Swiss Family Robinson." For its reintroduction as Tarzan's home, 10 feet were added to the tree. The 450 branches were redressed with nearly 6,000 lacy leaves, then draped with moss and covered with jungle vines to make it feel like the rightful home to the "Lord of the Apes."
